November Blog

Hello everyone! I am a little late on the November blog. Was a busy month for us with Genevieve. She came down with a stomach virus, then shortly after that caught a bad cold. So, not much time for posting anything. About a week or two before Thanksgiving, the baby and I went to Louisiana to visit my parents, so that was fun! We stayed for about a week. My mom got to show Genevieve off again to all of her friends and she and my dad took us to New Orleans for a day. We went to the French Market and did a little shopping and had dinner. It was a great trip! Thanksgiving was also wonderful. Nathan's mom came down to see us for about three days. I cooked my first Thanksgiving meal and used our china and silver for the first time. Everything turned out great and was delish! It was great to have Susan with us. We took it pretty easy and just enjoyed spendiing time with each other. We did a little shopping, went out to eat a few times, and took Genevieve out for some walks. The weather was beautiful!

Last weekend Nathan's firm had a Christmas dinner party at Capital Grille. It was very nice and the food was great. Nathan's co-workers are all very friendly and down to earth. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. The dinner was really good! One of the assistant's husbands came dressed as Santa and handed out gifts to everyone, so that was fun!

This weekend my cousin Jacque took our Christmas pictures in the Fort Worth Stockyards. That was a lot of fun and they turned out really cute! I am sure you have already seen them on facebook and may be receiving a Christmas card in the mail soon. I can't believe how fast little Genevieve is growing up! She is already 17 months, walking and running everywhere! She is becoming more vocal too and is obsessed with Nathan's Red Hot Chili Peppers concert video, haha! Too funny. We finally have our tree up, now we just need to start decorating it. I can't believe Christmas is just a few weeks away! I am so excited to see my family and for them to see Genevieve, especially my brothers and grandparents, who have probably not seen her in about a year. Well, I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! xoxo until next time : )
