To start off, this is a sad day for America...9/11. May God Bless everyone, especially those who fought for country and for their families. This may be a short one, but felt like posting something. : ) Genevieve has become quite the little walker, she is so cute! She is also getting big for her petite little self, looking more like a little girl each day. Kind of makes me sad and I am getting baby fever again! Of course we do want more children, just letting Nathan get settled into his job a little bit first. He has been there a week as of today, and seems to enjoy it so far.
His boss gave him two gift certificates to Dallas Chop House, a fancy restaraunt here in Dallas. He advised Nathan to take me out and celebrate his new job, so yay! We can finally have a date night and get a babysitter for Genevieve. Believe it or not, this will be our first time to leave her a lone with somebody. Things were so just so crazy with Nathan in law school and working two jobs, etc.. But now that he is out and working a real attorney job, we finally have time to have dates! Yay : ) My best friend's mom will be watching her, which is great!
I just hope Genevieve behaves well with us gone, she is usually pretty social, but without us in the picture, who knows. I am sure it will all be fine. : ) Just happy to get a night out! We are moving into a bigger apartment in a few weeks and have already started cleaning and packing. Looking pretty empty already, weird. Have also been running countless errands to entertain the baby and keep myself sane. We get so ancy in this little place and haven't had a chance to go to our playdates yet-baby's schedule seems to always get in the way...ugh.
Anyways, besides that, everything is going great! Just rolling with the punches and excited to get into our new place soon! We also plan on getting a new car in the next few months. I will miss my little 2001 Ford Focus, but I guess it's time to get more of a family size car, especially if we want to start adding to our family of three. That reminds me, my cousin Bonnie is due with her first, a little girl, in October! So excited for her and can't wait to meet little Olivia Grace. : )Well, I think I hear Genevieve waking from her afternoon slumber, so I better get going. Have a great day everyone! Will post more soon.

First Update : )
September 5, 2012
Hi everyone! I am new to this blogging stuff, so bear with me. To start off, my husband Nathan and I have lived in Dallas for 4 years now. I lived the majority of my life in Texas, before that Kansas and New Mexico. My husband is from Northern Virginia/D.C. area where we met when working for Care Net, a non-profit pro-life movement. We were dating and were engaged in Virginia, married in Fort Worth, Texas at St. Patrick's Cathedral, then moved back to Texas just a few months later. Nathan attended SMU Dedman School of Law and just graduated this past May with his law degree, with honors. Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif. Sorry, I have to brag-he worked two jobs during law school, to support me an our precious 14 month old (so I could be a stay at home mom which I love!) Before I had our precious little one I was working as a receptionist for a law firm, Ferrer, Poirot, & Wansbrough here in Dallas. It was a great experience and oppurtunity.
I do miss my friends at work, but I wouldn't trade my life at home with my sweet little family for anything in the world! And we have some great friends from the young adult group at church we spend time with and other friends in the area. Nathan just started his new and first attorney job this week at Liechty & McGinnis, here in Dallas-a commercial real estate firm. And we are finally getting out of this tiny one bedroom apartment and moving into a 2 bedroom in a few weeks. Then eventually hope to get a house! Enough of that, now about our sweet Genevieve Claire. She is 14 months old now! How time flies. She was born July 2, 2011 here in Dallas, Texas at Texas Health Presbyterian. She is crawling everyhere and not quite walking yet. She is clearly able to if she wants to, but she chooses to take a few steps then plop her little self down, or walk with one hand against the wall, or walk on her knees! Haha, will have to keep working with her. : )
She is a petite little one (funny because she was a big baby!), but very sweet, energetic, and goofy. She can also be a bit rebellious at times. She is definitely the extrovert in the family and quite the social butterfly! She has brown hair and blue eyes and looks a lot like her daddy. We are certainly enjoying our time with her. My parents came to visit this past weekend for Labor Day/my dad's birthday. We spend the weekend shopping. watching movies, playing with the baby, and eating at Chuys for their Green Chile Festival-my dad's fave spot! It was loads of fun! Genevieve loves my parents, she cried when they left. : ( It was sad for us too. Too bad my family is spread out everywhere, including my three brothers. Nathan's family lives far also, but we still enjoy seeing each other over holidays, etc...well I guess that's it for now. Will post more later! TTFN! (Ta ta for now-haha a family saying between us girls) :)
